The exchange took place between the 13th and the 25th April. It was a team of 11 individuals from various companies around the south lincs district. From Sleaord, it was Carole Jackson, the captian of the Girls Brigade, Grenville Jackson the liutenant of the first sleaford Boys Brigade, June Porter, the treasurer of the Girls Brigade, Laura MacQuade and the young people were, myself, Becky Mair and Libby Porter. From the 2nd spalding Boys Brigade Company was Ben Jeffery, From Bourne Boys Brigade Jonathon Haycox, the captian of 1st Whitelsey Girls Brigade Sylvia Hill and a Dstrict Executive, Anne Grief.
The idea behind the exchange was from the last time that Carole and Grenville visited Kenya, the idea of young people from the brigades of England visiting their brigades and their young people to come and vsit ours, on a permant exchange every year or so.
Our visit was the first part of the exchange program. In the first week, we visited many companies in the Embu diocise of Kenya. The second week we took easy and went to look atsome local sites around Embu. The first week ended up being very hectic, travelling every day to many different parts of Embu to meet the companies. Duing this week we had the pogram organised for us, by Sister Lucy, who joined us on the visits and also bought her daughter, Joanne, on a few of the visits for us to meet.
The second week gav us a chance to sample th local sites a we visited Kanburu Dam and took a tri round Abedare Park and the Nairobi National Park fof two diffenent Safari experiences.
